The UPS Store - The Labo Toy-Con-tainer
Cardboard plays a huge role in everyday life at The UPS Store. So when Nintendo decided to launch Labo — a set of accessories for the Nintendo Switch that is completely made out of cardboard, it was the perfect opportunity for EP+Co to jump on the moment and celebrate cardboard in a creative way. After constructing the different accessories out of cardboard, there was only one problem. You couldn’t put them back in the box they came in. So, because The UPS Store is all about packing things, we came up with the idea of constructing a storage container made out of The UPS Store cardboard boxes. We concepted, designed and built a one-of-a-kind storage solution in a matter of a couple days, and then shot a video that we were able to drop on The UPS Store’s social channels. Video game fans went nuts, with many wanting to know if it was going to be sold or if they could get their hands on the plans. All-in-all, the idea gained tons of headlines, got an appreciative response from Nintendo themselves, and became one of The UPS Store’s most successful social posts to date.
