Denny's - Father's Day

Sometimes something goes viral out in the world and it triggers an idea that is way too good to pass up. When I saw the viral video of DJ Pryor and his son Kingston having "dad talk" on their couch, I knew that having a moment like that happen in a Denny's booth on Father's Day was the perfect thing for our client. It's genuine moments like these that the world needs more of, especially between a father and a son.

We quickly reached out to the father/son duo and invited them to Denny’s to have another one of their conversations. Using a scrappy two-camera set up, we let them do their thing and captured every moment. What we ended up with was the perfect video to celebrate Father’s Day. And what makes this piece so powerful was that it was real…no script, no forced product promotion…just an authentic moment that actually does take place in Denny’s restaurants all across the country.

The results went through the roof. The video that we placed on Facebook and Twitter gained over 14 million total views and was picked up by over 535 news sources.

After the success of the Father’s Day video, we decided to also take some of the unused footage we captured to create two more videos to be used as pre-roll — a 15-second and a 6-second — both being less about a conversation and more about authentic moments in a booth.
