The UPS Store - 5 Days of Giftmas

For the last three years around the holidays, we’ve brought to life an idea for The UPS Store that broke new ground on Facebook Live. Before there was HQ and the surrounding live game show phenomenon, we had the idea of bringing to life one of the first live game shows on Facebook Live. For an entire week, The UPS Store went live with a very simple game that anyone tuning in could participate in — guess what’s in the box. We built an entire stage with flashing lights and a rotating turntable. We then had a host bring out five different gifts in boxes of all shapes and sizes. Then, it was up to the live audience to guess the exact gift that was inside the box as we fed them clues to help them along. The first person to guess the exact name of the product would get it shipped to them for the holidays.

The UPS Store followers went nuts and engagement went through the roof. It was so successful that they’ve continued to bring this idea to life for three straight years with each year building on the one before it. What began as a simple “game show” idea in my head turned into one of the most successful and social engaging things that The UPS Store has done to date.
